The objective of this website is to provide READERS with inspiring, motivational books at reasonable prices. We want books and stories that inspire a love of reading because they tell great stories, not because they are one publisher's idea of what will sell to the greatest number of people quickly.

Nervous to shop? Don't be!  Test how easy it is by purchasing one of our free ebooks. No money is involved and the file is available almost immediately.

How to shop

1. You can shop without registering first, but we suggest you register. (If you aren't registered, the items in your shopping cart will be deleted after 4 hours.)
2. Please register. We don't send junk mail or sell your email address - we are too busy selling books! The information we ask about you is very basic so we know whether you are primarily an author, or a reader. Readers are allowed to write Book Reviews, Publishers can see their own book sales.
3. Pick one of our free eBooks, and "Add to Cart". You will see your selected book listed in the permanent shopping cart up in the top banner.
4. When you're done, click on the "Checkout" link in the banner, or on the shopping cart
5. If you are not already logged in, you will be required to do so now.
6. If you have chosen a free book, only "Free Order" will be shown under payment methods. If you have a combination of free and purchased books, the "EFT/Paypal" option will be shown.
7. Free orders will be available in "My Account / Files" within a few minutes of purchase. Click on the download button, and save the file to the "Documents" folder on your Kindle. (Use the USB cable to link your Kindle to your PC).
8. Paid orders require an EFT or PayPal payment. If you have chosen Paypal, we will send you a PayPal invoice. If you have chosen EFT we will send you our banking details.
9. After payment has been received, the file will be available for download. You have 1 week to download, and two file downloads are allowed just in case the download crashes.  If you are out of time or downloads, don't panic! Just email us on kindlebookssa@gmail.com and we will reset your download.

The free ebooks in our store are classics - they are royalty-free books and you will find them elsewhere on the internet. However most other versions you find will not be for Kindle, and are a mess in terms of formatting and typos. If you are a good reader, you'll find this annoying and it will detract from the experience of reading.

Most of our readers will be disappointed that most books are not free - but we need to charge or our writers won't keep writing! Please don't begrudge our hardworking authors the price of a cup of coffee!

As each generation grows up with TV, most people have become passive recipients of information.

"ENTERTAIN ME," we demand. "I don't want to think, I don't want to take part. I want to watch while other more passionate people work out what I want, and try to spoon-feed -- or force-feed -- their information agenda to me."

Don't be one of them. You're a reader, you are better than that!

• Join us in encouraging new South African readers by providing sensible reviews about books.
• Please support our writers with encouraging words and sales. Without good readers, South Africa cannot have good writers.
• Tell your book club about us, and encourage others to join the site. I appreciate we are still small, but help us grow!
• If you find great, royalty-free books on the internet, especially Afrikaans and South African classics please suggest new titles.
• Help us find, and convert royalty-free novels and classic books - please talk to us if you can help. Books can be provided as Text (.txt), HTML (.htm) or Word documents.

I believe that good readers are better people.

1. They can concentrate for long periods - that makes them more productive with less effort
2. They read faster with better recall - resulting in better academic performance
3. They assess and assimilate what they read - so they learn better judgement
4. They are able to deal with the highs and lows of life because they have a broader understanding of history, culture and behaviour
5. They are more content and tolerant of the range of human achievement and behaviour.
6.  They are able to lose themselves the world of words, without resorting to drugs, alcohol, gambling and other destruction forms of escapism.
7.  Because of all the above they experience lower stress, and happier relationships.

IMHO* South Africa  needs more good readers
