We know you can get your view across in 140 characters, so what can you do with 1000! Write a short story in less than 1000 characters about life, people, places and events that are typically South African.

Please note that all stories are moderated. We don't change the content, but we will not publish stories that are blatant advertising, contain links or have offensive content. The Editor's decision on publishing is final.

If a story appears to be a genuine submission but has elements that prevent publishing (like links to websites), you will be advised by email. You must be a registered member of the site, and logged in to submit a short story.
